Cartoons

The ABC Life × The Way of the Wall Street Warrior

Dave started as a kid with Chinese brush painting, then discovered Spider-Man, then took a brief detour into finance that lasted several decades because rent, food, and capitalism are powerful villains.

Now he’s back at the drawing board, turning two of life’s great comedy engines (raising Asian American kids and surviving corporate America) into cartoons.

One series is about fatherhood, culture, and kids saying brutally honest things at the worst possible time. The other is about Wall Street, office politics, and career advice that should probably come with a compliance disclaimer.

The ABC Life

The unexpected joys of raising American Born Chinese kids

Raising kids is hard. Raising Asian American kids means explaining Lunar New Year, screen time limits, respect for elders, and why “because I said so” is technically not a Confucian teaching.

THE ABC LIFE is inspired by Dave’s life as a father of two boys, who have provided years of free comedy, emotional whiplash, and deeply humbling performance reviews.

These comic strips capture the funny, awkward, sweet, and occasionally devastating moments of parenting, especially when your children are more logical than you, more honest than your friends, and somehow better negotiators than most investment bankers.

The Way of the Wall Street Warrior

Conquer the Corporate Game Using Tips, Tricks, and Smartcuts

After years on Wall Street, Dave learned the most important lesson in finance: nobody really knows what’s happening, but everyone says it confidently on a PowerPoint slide.

THE WAY OF THE WALL STREET WARRIOR is a cartoon guide to ambition, office politics, career survival, and the sacred art of pretending a meeting needed to be an hour long.

These are comics for anyone who has ever chased a promotion, survived a boss with “quick feedback,” or wondered whether “circle back” is actually a cry for help.

Not investment advice. Barely career advice. Possibly therapy.

Animated Shorts

The kids were already talking, negotiating, singing, roasting, gaming, and questioning reality so Dave animated them.

THE ABC LIFE ANIMATED SERIES brings the comic strips to life in short episodes about parenting, childhood, culture, technology, food, fear, love, and the universal truth that children will always say the thing you hoped they would not say in public.

Think of it as a family sitcom, except the writers are actual children and the dad is just trying to keep up.
